Our Levels of Being
Before we can discuss our personal evolution we must be agreed on what we are. ree components are involved, making us something of a hybrid. e rst component is our consciousness, our “divine spark” or core of Eternal Awareness. While individualized, as a subset of awareness, consciousness is eternal. is is who we are at the deepest level. Next, and this is the one most uniquely human: we are thinkers and feelers. We have minds. We have hearts. We have intent. Together they form our souls. On this level we are quite capable of divorcing ourselves from our physical surroundings and living in a world of ideas or emotions. e opposite is true as well: we are quite capable of seeing ourselves as little more than bodies. e third component is our evolving physicality—we are bodies.
In short, we are conscious, symbol and emotion-oriented, physical entities. As such, the laws we live by can seem quite complicated, because the physical laws that apply to our bodies may di er from those that apply to our souls and both may di er from the laws of consciousness. Let’s try to do a bit of sorting, shall we?
We are our bodies. No question. We have obvious physicalness, clearly an essential part of our present reality. To deny the reality of our body, or consider it as somehow unclean or unwholesome, leaves us in a precarious position. Our bodies ground us to the life experience we’re currently in. Our senses are tools for experiencing this life. Our bodies tether us to this current reality.
Aspects of the realm of the body include feeling physical pain or pleasure, seeing the e ects of time on our body and being part of the solid reality within which we exist. Pretty basic stu . It’s what the body is not or does not do that can cause so much confusion.
Personal Healing
While the body feels pleasure and pain, it does not create feelings of fear or love. ose are mental/emotional constructs, created at the level of intent, or the soul. We imagine that our bodies react with fear to say, a sense of falling, but if we consider falling an immense pleasure, we will enjoy the sensation [though we may still splat at the end]. We would then nd ourselves severely hurt and in excruciating pain, which may change our opinion on the pleasurability of falling. But that decision, and the decision to be afraid the next time we nd ourselves falling [if we so choose], comes from our intent. In as much as we spend immeasurable time fearing and fretting for our bodies, it is a requirement of peace to understand that fear exists on the mental/ emotional level. Bodies do not fear.
Similarly, our bodies may hurt due to a past incident, disease or the toll of aging. Associating this hurt with a particular behavior, say being hit by a car, will cause us to try to avoid such situations in the future. But this predilection to avoid similar situations is mental, emotional and psychological. e body, per se, is no more likely to avoid being hit again than it was the rst time. It can be argued that animals take steps to avoid future pain, but such foresight is in direct proportion to the level of consciousness contained by that life-form—again indicating that it is at the level of intent that such interpretations are made. Bodies are emotionally neutral. It is our intent that has us quaking in fear or resting in peace.
At the other extreme of who we are, we are individualized Awareness. Consciousness is the eternal component that we partake in. Awareness is eternal, and like begets like. is level is the level of Eternity, or God if you prefer. It literally is Peace. It has no need of repair. So we have both an evolutionary body and an eternal spirit, setting the stage for some interesting dynamics.
Which brings us to the level of thoughts and emotions, the level of mind and heart, where the action is for us alive on Planet Earth: the place between consciousness and physicality. It is the level of intent, or the soul. It is on this level that meaning is found and decisions are made. All our impressions and emotions, all our victories and failures, all our interpretations of reality come on this level. Our intent scurries frantically when overwhelmed by fear, stress or drama. Our intent also rests quietly when attuned to Awareness. It is intent that plans for tomorrow and remembers yesterday. Intent generates our attitudes, passions, ideologies and emotions. Even when we’re literally paralyzed with fear, like a deer in the headlights, it is our intent that creates this condition.
As we move to find our truest selves, we must come to understand on which level a problem exists. is is required so we can address the problem at the correct level. Of course the level of spirit has no problems, so we’re down to two. As noted above, the body is non- thinking and emotionally neutral. It cannot generate fear or love. If we lose a hand, the body will do its best to survive as best it can, with no emotional overtones. It’s incapable of them. But if our thoughts and feelings bemoan the loss, we tend to think of the body as the reason for our distress. Not true.
Glorifying the body will not succeed. Glorifying the Eternal is not enough. We must understand that the playground of healing is the level of the soul. We must learn to appreciate that our intent is the singular instrument of our transformation.
Our Civilization Sucks
Well, we don’t have to look very far, indeed, we don’t have to look at all. We feel it in our bones. We sense it on a regular. Our civilization sucks.
This mess in the Ukraine with Russian and US narratives going back and forth, and people dying, but ices our argument. Our civilization sucks. Want a deeper dive?
Want to look at our dying oceans, devastated ecosystems or environmental destruction?
Want to look at our shitty food systems, our fossil fuels use or our tepid response to the potential end of our species?
Want to back up that Ukraine thing with the permanent war paradigm? Haiti, Palestine, and a hundred other situations where human rights are abused and lives are ruined or ended?
Want to look at our media? Raving lunatics on left and right? All that matters to them is the corporate agenda.
How about civil rights or income inequality? Two very related topics where we’re failing miserably.
Or government, where one of the two main parties is officially the Party of Sedition? And the other a spineless tool of elites?
I could go on and on…
How is it that we find ourselves in such a bad place as a species, as a civilization? That’s not really a tough question if we’re paying attention.
It’s because all of the above and so much more stem from the corporate-owned, more money and power at all costs mentality that the elites – super wealthy families going back hundreds of years – have manipulated us and our culture so they always ‘win’. A sharp case in point is how the Rothschilds funded both sides of the war and lied and cheated ‘manipulated’ both sides, vastly improving their fortunes. Despicable, and a long standing tradition.
No wonder the founding fathers were very wary of ‘The Corporation’. And indeed, The Corporation is the ‘great’ financial entity that allows our corporate overlords to remain our corporate overlords. And it remains despicable.
The Rockefellers, Morgans and Vanderbilts were pulling similarly despicable behaviors in the U.S. a century later. Some of the richest men that ever lived, they offered platitudes to the common citizen, but saw wealth and poverty as both necessitated by capitalism. Their philanthropy was supposed to erase, or at least more tolerable, those great inequalities.
Democrat Grover Cleveland was not the first to complain that “corporations, which should be the carefully restrained creatures of the law and the servants of the people, are fast becoming the people’s masters.” (1888 State of the Union address). The only major shift since then is the addition of globalization to the corporate tool set. Indeed, our founding fathers had similar concerns, but time favors corporate power as we see today.
These days the rampant abuses of The Corporation are ruining our lives and communities and if that’s not enough, destroying our only home. The people behind the mega-corporations of today are so ingrained in elitist ideology that they’re incapable of recognizing the truth of what they are, at the least, contributing to.
We don’t need extravagant yachts and trips into outer space to see where these crazy folks are leading us. To our doom. We don’t need all the plethora of lawsuits trying to eek out some minor victory against these monsters to know corporations and healthy cultures cannot co-exist. While the recognitions of Occupy back in 2011, that financial systems are corrupt and ruining our lives, might not have seemed obvious then, by now it’s clear to anyone whose head is not buried in some ideological sand.
There is, in truth, only one remedy. Transforming our culture to one where The Corporation has no place. Transform our culture so big lie talking points like Trump really won in 2020 are unimaginable. Transform our culture so that we take the threats to our dear planet Earth with total regard. Where the permanent war paradigm is in the dustbin of history, like so much tremendous malfeasance wreaked on us by our elitist corporate controllers.
Our lives cry out for meaning. For something greater than a sports victory. For something more true than gated communities. For seeing each other in our essence, and not in our clothes, hair, skin or other useless gage of our humanness.
The two Biggies: Community and Commerce
Presuming access to decent air and water, food and energy are the great requirements for a civilization to survive and thrive. And how they do so is through community and commerce. Community because we share this Life Now, and being and doing with each other is a fundamental aspect of our existence. But let’s start with commerce.
Commerce in some form has been with us for tens of thousands of years. Especially with the Agrarian Age and the beginning of specialization in work, people bartered, bought and sold, and developed the system of capitalism. Two folks selling shoes. Who makes the best shoes? Who has the better deal? Whose further away? Such considerations are at the heart of true capitalism.
We don’t have that today. You may find a bit of it in your town or online somewhere, but in all our manifest global systems, we have corporatism. Mindless legal entities, designed and effectively enabling the ruination of our lives and the rape of our dear Earth. First enabled by England around 1600, they have been the scourge we have faced and died for all these long generations.
In any area of our lives, what was once a panoply of business entities is now dominated by one or a few companies. Amazon, Apple, Google, Intel, Walmart, Kroger, AT&T, Tyson, AMD – they covers most everything we buy, how we communicate, what shows up in our searches. And that’s just nine mega-corporations. It doesn’t include the massive financial ‘institutions’ or foreign-owned megaliths like Alibaba, China Petroleum and Chemical or Royal Dutch Shell. Mindless, driven by greed, they destroy lives and Earth with impunity to meet ‘quarterly targets’. There is no hope for a healthy planet where corporations rule.
Community comes in a million forms, but the content is similar everywhere. People working together, playing together and just being together. I like the old barn building phenom, where materials were lined up, a day was picked, and friends and neighbors put up a barn. Or built a school. Or a bridge. Coming together is the central aspect of community.
This innate predilection within us has been totally subverted by ‘The Corporation’. Just as simple truths like the totality of Now, the only place where Life happens, and hence where we happen, has been subverted with BS like ‘He who dies with the most toys wins.’ Nonsense, and our civilization is full of it, because that’s what our corporate overlords want filling our heads. Ideally fearful nonsense, because the terrified do not act to change things.
Oh, and Nation States
Hand in hand with a long history of corporate malfeasance is the nation state. Small communities became cities, cities fought other cities to become city-states, and city-states the fought each other to become nation-states. Do you note a common theme? Fought. And the winners designated the borders and rights and everything else. [See British Empire.]
It’s not a pleasant history to come to grips with. The most aggressive families became the elites, and then monarchies and then those crazy people came up with all sorts of delusions of grandeur. They’re just like you and me but with aggressive ancestors. This pattern still plays out today with politicians.
The Corporation is like the Hydra. It’s many heads can be severed to no end, but it will not die until we stab its heart.
The Answer
Clearly we need transformation. We need a new ground to stand on, and it is Life, already here with us. Already us. Life, and we, only exist in the vast ‘Nowness’ that encompasses everything that is, and is going on. Almost unimaginable in our current civilization, it, this, is none the less everything that exists, and everything that is true.
In temporal affairs, the truth often changes. What happens in our lives or on the world stage is always in transition. Yet in our hearts and souls we remain here in Life, here where everything happens.
World 5.0 offers the clear way forward. We are all together here in Life. It cannot be helped. The second truth is the power of our intent. We choose between fear and Love. The third truth? Only Love makes us happy. This simple formula takes us far.
When applied to our systems, we need the same integrity in government and finance that we have with buildings and bridges, or the Internet. Without integrity they don’t function. Such is not currently the case in our politics.
It’s striking that we of good will are so ignored and the vile imbeciles run rampant in Washington DC. The Democrats are terrible tools dedicated to their corporate overlords and the Republicans are worse with their big lie and utter lack of respect for we, the people. We will never achieve health or happiness until the corporate scourge is ended. World 5.0 offers a clear alternative.
Living In Community

Communities are the lifeblood of human existence. ‘No man is an island’, and we do well to hold this context. Sadly, our communities have been abused and destroyed by the usual suspects. This must change.
We’re already starting to see smart communities evolve that have a pioneering spirit and an ecological soul. Intentional communities, smart growth initiatives, the new urbanism and a host of other creative actions are pointing to ways we can live in greater health within our communities. We still have a long to go.
Until recently, the mainstream model for a city had changed little since the last major “innovation”—designing cities around cars. Ouch. Cities have been undergoing substantial changes in recent times, whether it’s designing smart growth and public transit like Portland, or determining how to reconfigure a city like Detroit, with great voids where neighborhoods and factories used to be. Like many “rust belt” cities, Detroit has lost substantial population and money due to globalization. And yet even there things are awakening.
Awakening
Cities are indeed awakening, as are communities everywhere. The Awakening, our grand journey into wholeness, is very much grounded in our communities. And while the most dramatic changes may be found in cities, rural, suburban and every other kind of community is experiencing this as well. It’s part of this massive shift to the World 5,0 culture.
These days many of our communities are virtual. Whether it’s an online group we’re part of, facebook, twitter or other social apps – the rich texture of our communal life is endless. The requirement is that we rebuild and recreate our communities to reflect our values and goals, wresting them back from corporate and government overlords who have ruined communal life with their dictum of profit at all costs.
Community blend
Another great realization these days is that we now well understand than our communities are in truth, ecologies – interwoven and interconnected arrays of people, land, architecture, natural resources, and all else that ties us together. At the same time, our particular local setting very much determines the kinds of communities we are part of. This is damn handy as it is in our local communities that we can have the most impact in effecting change. Local initiatives, local politics, local business and local health create the context for our local lives.
We’re finding our ground and empowering our selves, neighborhoods and communities. We’re taking a fresh look at priorities and possibilities.
By applying the principles of ecology and the World Five Platform, we find ourselves far less stressed, far more connected, and far more happy in our surroundings. How nice.
The Permanent War Paradigm
Now that we’re several months into our Ukraine Conflict, we begin to see things a bit more clearly. Putin remains an unstable threat, yet there are undertones and currents which suggest the US empire is exploiting this conflict, allowing Ukraine to be destroyed one bit at a time, when we could be using diplomacy and global pressure to bring an end to this conflict.
We won’t. We’ll continue to call out Russia as the bad guy and keep pretending we’re the good guy, as corporate media always does. In truth as NATO surrounds Russia tighter and tighter it’s kind of to be expected that Putin would react. Remember Cuba in the 1960s? We were having none of that.
“Terrorism” is the perfect term to highlight the permanent war paradigm at this time. After all “Communism” or the “The Cold War” don’t carry the weight they once did. And, once ‘Terrorism’ loses its convincing value, there will be other threats thrust in our face to ensure we allow a trillion dollars a year of our money to be used for U.S. Imperialism. And for those offended by such strong language I do not apologize. I ask that you open your eyes.
Who has military bases in 200 countries? Who has initiated the most military conflicts in the last 50 years? [it’s not even close!] Who has replaced the most democratically elected leaders with U.S. friendly dictators? Think Chile, poor Haiti, Iraq, Lybia and a good handful of others. Yeah, that’s us.
The terrorism bogeyman card can be played, if not forever, well into the foreseeable future. And it’s a trump card, as we’re seeing so clearly in the bloated budget earmarked for the Department of Defense. No wonder they feel obliged to cut social programs.
In the permanent war paradigm, there’s no new money for states and cities, or local renewal. There’s no new money for alternate energy, education,or a host of other issues we face, but there’s 400 billion for Iraq. (That money goes to energy research, we don’t need their fucking oil.)
So ‘our leaders’ are creating a United States of America with rising illiteracy and poverty, less healthcare, no retirement funding and crumbling infrastructure. But BY GOD, THOSE TERRORISTS ARE NOT GOING TO GET US!
Ongoing support for the permanent war paradigm remains ridiculously high in Washington politics. This is the sordid group that’s codifying the Permanent War Paradigm – and believes they’ll be able to control the game for the indefinite future.
They may well be right. Democracy is tough. Corruption is easy if you’re in power. The Permanent War Paradigm guarantees conflict for decades ahead, meaning continued profits for profiteers, and insulation for corrupt politicians.
And if I have not stressed enough the connections between our shitty politicians and the corporations they are beholding to, rest assured they’re incredibly deep and wide. As of 2022, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, General Dynamics, and Raytheon Technologies win the top five spots. They own our politicians and so the endless wars continue.
The eventual success or failure of these outlandish plans depends on many things. One sign of hope is that events tend to outrun even the greatest strategists. [Even this idea of World 5.0] Another positive is burnout. Many Americans are getting tired of the “terrorism trumps everything” modality our federal government champions. And a third cause for hope – we, the People of the Blog. There is an undeniable progressive movement, typified by new editorial sites like David Sirota’s The Lever, that is shaking the fundamental assumptions of capitalism and cronyism.

Donald Trump Is a Traitor
Even while the January 6th Committee continues its now public hearings, the conclusion is already quite clear. Donald Trump, and many of his enablers including Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife Jinni, are traitors. Before I go on I’m well aware that technically the word ‘traitor’ is attached to trying to overthrow the government via war and ‘sedition’ is the word for using other means to overthrow the government.
Yet that is framing the narrative in a less accurate way. Yes, Donald Trump and company are ‘seditionists’, but that narrative hardly compares to the raw truth – Donald Trump is a traitor. If we note the Constitution Article Three…
The difference between traitor and sedition is that traitor is one who violates his allegiance and betrays his/her country; one guilty of treason; one who, in breach of trust, delivers his country to an enemy, or yields up any fort or place intrusted to his defense, or surrenders an army or body of troops to the enemy, unless when vanquished; also, one who takes arms and levies war against his country; or one who aids an enemy in conquering his country while sedition is organized incitement of rebellion or civil disorder against authority or the state, usually by speech or writing. – from wiki
So, if you write about overthrowing the government it is sedition. If you refuse to defend ‘any fort or place intrusted to his defense, say like the capital building in Washington DC, it is a traitorous act. And Donald Trump is a traitor.
The only reason this isn’t abundantly clear is because our media is owned by corporations whose greed supersedes any devotion, or even interest, in truth. They prefer the ugly muck, confusion and abuse rendered out by our current political system. I have several family members and friends who voted for Trump in 2020. Most of them are now convinced of a false equivalency – that the crazies on the left and right are both crazy, and both must be stopped.
I’m not arguing that all the crazies are on the right, but I will point out the the Proud Boys and Oathkeepers, doing what they did on January 6th of last year at the behest of Trump, are on the right. The white nationalists who are shooting up our kids, church members, shoppers, gays, Asians and whomever else they feel threatened by or animosity towards, sorry about you luck. The lefties are crazy too…
And the crimes of the Lefties? The Portland Uprising seems to be the main contention, and it was peaceful, at least until infiltrated by haters and confronted by unmarked ‘police’. BLM protesters? Marked by their peacefulness. Hmmm. Not the same as killing 20 kids in Uvaldy Texas just recently or the folks of color shopping at a grocery in Buffalo. So try clearing your mind of false equivalencies peddled by Fox News and others and look as clearly as you can at our utterly corrupt culture.
The January 6th attempted takeover of our capitol with the designed intent to halt the validating process that would make Joe Biden president was not a coup attempt but ‘legitimate political discourse’. If that makes any sense to you suffer from some form of cognitive dissonance. You accept lies over truth because it better reflects your values. Tough shit. As Daniel Patrick Moynihan famously stated, “You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.” Words we must heed in there perilous times.
Of course that bizarre day doesn’t exist in isolation. From extremist cops to the take over of school boards and community groups by those with an agenda that is not the public good, we see this playing out every day. The coup is ongoing. It may even continue without Donald Trump. Others like Rick Desantis of Florida may be the new flag bearer. But be not confused. Treason is treason. Joe Biden won that election. Why else would congressmen beg for pardons from Trump even before the events of January 6th? They well knew their behavior was wrong. They were cronies of Donald Trump. They are traitors as well.
I could go on and on, but convincing the Deniers of Truth that they’re wrong is beyond what we can do. What we can do is acknowledge to ourselves and others should the conversation come up. Donald Trump is a traitor.
CINCINNATI – Hemp Capital
We can make Cincinnati the first ‘Hemp Hub’ in these United States.
Growing hemp, marijuana’s fiberous cousin, has been federally legalized as of 2018. The feds are still sorting out some of the details for what can be grown, processed and manufactured, there is a marvelous opportunity here.
So, it’s an excellent time to think about how our region can leverage this change in legal status to become a hub of hemp processing and manufacturing.
What’s the big deal? Hemp is a big deal. Humans and hemp have a long history, briefly interrupted in the 1930s when super elite huckster William Randolph Hearst used his yellow press and political influence to make hemp illegal. As it happens, he could make more money on his paper using wood pulp, as he owned lots of forest. Hemp, along with marijuana, was thoroughly demonized.
But back to the big deal. Hemp is an incredibly versatile plant, with each part of the plant providing useful products. Hemp is easily grown with little in the way of chemicals or fertilizer needed. It’s suited to relatively small plots of farmland, which are abundant in southern Ohio and much of Kentucky.
Hemp fiber is strong and durable, one of its earlier uses being the canvas sails that allowed for global travel hundreds of years ago. There were no long ocean-faring ships until the 16th century when Europeans discovered the Arabian secret of constructing hemp sails.
Hemp clothing alone could be transformative. The original Levi’s Jeans were made from hemp sailcloth, and today’s cottonized hemp is a versatile option for any number of cloth and fiber products.
Our Constitution was written on hemp paper. Hemp fibers can strengthen any number of other products as well, including building products. Actually, combined with other hemp materials and composites, it’s stronger and cheaper than wood or concrete for building. And shoes, yes, for generations hemp shoes were a thing, and they are starting to make a come back.
Hemp seeds can be used as food and seasoning, but are most commonly used to press the oil from them. Hemp oils can be used in cooking, on the skin, and ingested to mitigate a variety of discomforts. The seeds themselves are a bit nutty tasting, and can be used in salads or as a garnish.
Hemp roots are valuable as well, having been used as a health remedy and tea since ancient times. Powders or ground into a paste, it has diuretic properties and is a staple of natural healing methodologies.
In 1941, Henry Ford built a car out of hemp. It was not only built out of hemp plastic, but it also ran on hemp fuel. Hemp plastic was tested to be much stronger than steel. They tried denting the hemp car with a hammer, but the car didn’t even budge.
And those are just some of the basics. Hemp composites, where fibers, oils and powders are mixed to create or replace plastics are being discovered. Hemp composites to be used in 3D printing are only now beginning to be understood. Hemp was a key ingredient in Roman aqueducts, explaining while some are still standing 2,000 years later.
Of course, this notion of making Cincinnati a Hemp Hub has a ton of potential and needs far more discussion. Cincinnati’s mayor and council need to make this a priority in 2022 and beyond. The scalability, local nature and community-building aspects of hemp farming and processing are all wondrous and worth pursuing. There is no Hemp Hub or Hemp Capital yet in these United States. It seems like wonderful time for Cincinnati to lead the way.
From Corporations to Cooperatives
There’s really no need to expound on the state of our lives and our Earth in this time. The evidence is abundant and clear. We live under the rule of the global corporate state. Nation states, especially empires like the U.S., still play a large role, but the controllers are obviously the people behind global corporations, especially financial ones. We are not helpless and we can no longer tolerate this.
While stats like the relative wealth of the 1/10th of 1% compared to the rest of us can be eye opening, they do little to aid us in finding a remedy to this unconscionable situation. And these same elitists and psychopaths have no interest in the remedy.
We do not change something so substantial in isolation. We change everything. Starting with ourselves and our context about living. This Great Turning encompasses an evolutionary leap, a new way forward with a vastness we were previously unaware and incapable of.
Contrary to the old adage that ‘money is the root of all evil’, money is but a tool. At issue is the way money is managed, which is very poorly in the corporate state. These soulless institutions were designed to limit liability, and allow those behind corporations to profit unduly. By rights they should be illegal, as their intent is not the common good. It is the corporation, not money itself, that needs to be banned.
So it’s clear that corporations, since their ‘modern’ inception in 1600 where Queen Elizabeth first allowed the charter of East India Company, have sped the introduction of technology and fostered global trade. It’s equally clear that they’ve outlived whatever usefulness they may have had.
Western Europe’s centuries of colonialism were done at the behest of corporate interests, just as United States imperialism exists today to continue the dominant, controlling role corporations have in our world.
The obvious question becomes what about all the manufacturing, trade and services these corporations provide? Surely we can’t just disappear corporations!
No, we can’t. But we can, with political will, force their end by converting them to worker-owned cooperatives. How we muster such will when nation states and media are in lock step with these corporate behemoths is the real question.
What The Wheel Of Time Gets Right
The Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy novel series that spans 14 meaty books. The author, Robert Jordan, passed after book 11, and the last three were completed by Brandon Sorenson from the original author’s notes.
There are any number of remarkable aspects to this series, far more than its length. For starters, women are central to many narratives as they can wield the One Power, a Jedi like superpower known as weaving. The richness of the many communities and narratives that are encountered along with the array of evil characters provides plenty of entertainment and maybe more.
Which leads me to the title of this piece. The stirring, enthralling truth that is an open secret in this great story is the recognition of our eternity. We are literally riding on the wheel of time, all the while here in eternity.
For anyone paying attention, the totality of Now is clearly the central fact of existence, biological or otherwise. There is no other moment in time that exists. Even when we’re buried in past thoughts or considering some future outcome, we do it from here. We always move from Here.
The reason is that only in this point in time do Eternal Awareness and Infinite Energy co-mingle. This is the only place in time where Life exists, which means all that is exists only Now. As biological creatures, this is even more glaringly true. When do we breathe? When is our heart beating?
Our corrupt culture is so out of whack that even such a simple truth has been lost to us. Yet in The Wheel of Time, this truth is clear and understood throughout. And such clarity resonates with us, even if we don’t yet get the totality of Now.
There are plenty of passages that make this stance abundantly clear. Rand asks his dad Tam ‘how long before The Wheel throws you back out again’. Or Egwene threatening a whitecloak tormentor with ‘when I come back around’.
Imagine how different our culture would be if we held this awareness throughout. If it was universally recognized that now is the only point in time that exists, and hence we are all here together sharing this. Subtle but profound differences, and maybe not so subtle.
Far and away the great difference I see is the release from so much of our fear. There is a great mantle of fear that envelops our world, sadly by design. The terrified are much more likely to accept a bad situation and far less likely to actively seek to create a healthier planet. Fear tends to discourage things like protests, strikes and even community building. We’re more likely to try and ‘protect ourselves’. And so we’re enslaved by our anxious mind.
If we clearly recognize our eternity, what is there to fear? Death is seen for what it is, the end of a biological cycle. Indeed, death has been the end of all biological entities, at least as far as we know. Just another sleep cycle as the next cosmic adventure awaits us.
Another effect is that the idea of ‘strangers’ loses its power. We are very tribal here on Planet Earth, with visceral reactions to people who look differently to us. Of course, much of that ingraining has been fostered upon us by those same entities that have been controlling us for hundreds of years. The world’s super elite want us divided and afraid. We see this programming today through the white supremacy memes in the US and elsewhere.
One more thing the recognition of our place in eternity brings. Perspective. We let ourselves see the world much more widely, with much less emphasis on our personal, momentary experiences. We recognize the whole egocentric view of the world is false, and any fame or fortune is fleeting. We see much clearer value to relationship, and much less of a need to acquire money and its attendant power. We undermine the whole false, money-based culture we grew up in.
There are many more characteristics and changes that might result from this recognition of our eternity. That this simple truth is at the center of our biological experience is why we find it so stirring in this fabulous adventure, now being released via Amazon Prime tv. The first season wrapped up on Christmas Eve and is available for streaming. The second season release date has yet to be revealed. It has been renewed for a third season with the hope to complete the journey in 8 seasons.

The Frame of Our Existence
Life is the result of two elemental forces, awareness and energy. Awareness is eternal and still, requiring nothing. It is the void; endless and dark. Energy is motion. It is incapable of stillness. The co-mingling of these two opposite forces happens at only one point in time. Now. No other time exists. This is the Great Tao. This is the first truth. Learning this is our most needed lesson in this dark time.
There is great confusion among we humans on the nature of reality. This is not surprising, since The Great Evil* doesn’t want us to understand such simple things. They would rather convince us of the all consuming nature of consumption, and keep reminding us that our intrinsic value to life on Earth comes from consuming. This means both the consumer mentality where ‘baby needs a new pair of shoes’ and more critically the consumption of bullshit narratives that have driven our culture for hundreds of years. Yuck.
There are a host of places to look if you with to explore our history from this perspective. Check out the Rothchilds family efforts with the Bank of England at the end of the Napoleonic Wars or the Vanderbilts, Carnegies and Morgans in the late 1800s. A long history of lies, cheating and exploitation. Now we can add the Bezos, Gates, Zuckerbergs and Musks to their ranks.
So I move now to the truth, the answer to the nature of reality.
What we call Life is happening only now. This point in time is all that exists. The future is gone and tomorrow never comes. The reason for this is that Life consists of two elementals – Eternal Awareness, pure stillness and Infinite Energy, pure vibration.
If we did not have Eternal Awareness, there would be no memory. No recognition of what’s come before and what we may behold in the future. We know intuitively that we are the same person we’ve been ever since we found a sense of self in these bodies. We are Eternal. This innate truth has been stolen from us.
And yet the onslaught of events is ever clear. Time does not stand still. That’s the job of Eternal Awareness. Energy creates our experience of change. And it never stops.
Life is these two elementals coexisting which necessarily happens only Now. This is the only point in time where these incomprehensible two opposite forces co-mingle. The totality of Now is the great recognition our culture lacks, much to our peril.
Sports, the great pastime these days, makes the totality of Now quite clear. No one doubts the totality of now during a crucial play, when the ball is in the air. And yet after the game we’re again caught up in a mind full of what ifs and what was and will tomorrow be alright and a whole bunch of bullshit. And we feel like it’s real in our heads, and that these thoughts supersede our reality, the Totality of Now. Silly humans.
Galaxies and animal friends are aware of of this Life we share, even without the thoughts so prevalent in we humans. The birds, trees and even the sky above all know. Words are not required to experience Now. Indeed, they get in the way.
So why is such a glaring and obvious truth so seemingly strange? It’s our broken culture, designed and implemented over a thousand years so that The Great Evil can maintain its power and its structures of control.
If Now is all that exists, we are all necessarily All Here Together, and this is and must be the case Now and throughout our eternity. Life requires that we are eternal as well. These bodies? Of course not. Yet those beyond the veil are no less real that you and I. They are just far less physical.
And yet as close as we culturally get to recognizing our eternity is in some religious or spiritual creed, which might mean a future heaven or hell or something. This is just confusion.
I could go on and on, but in point of truth I’m trying to use words to describe what words cannot know. Perhaps most importantly, Life is this Presence, a sort of soup of Energy and Awareness that is always stirring and always still. Life is enchanting, epic, the ultimate truth, always here as our life line. And again, the only reason this is not obvious is because of our confusion and fear, so ingrained in this broken culture.
So, the chains of fear must be let go. Fear always points to a particular, yet it is fear itself that we must let go to experience our new eternal world. Our truth of Life Here Together.
Of course, clearly we are biological. Biological life is clearly a subset of All That Is, yet it is chained to this moment just as all life is. And the great requirement of biological life is water.
Indeed, on the edge of science are those who see connection between water and consciousness. (Adherents to a mechanical universe do not see such truths.) Based on life here on Earth, water does fit as the essential element for biological life.
The magical nature of water is of course neglected in our broken culture as well, which only cares if it can be bought and sold. When we finally emerge from this war-torn, extractive, pollutive and insane culture, we will see water for the sacred life-enabling agent that it is.
This is World 5.0. The truth of our reality and our existence. Life is Now and we are all participants. All the pain, all the lies, all the false narratives need hold no longer. We are all Here right Now sharing Life. This is good.

Welcome to Now
The time is always now. The answer is always love.
Such has been a mantra of mine for some years. I now feel it in my bones. I live Here in the Presence – as we all do. Yet I am not driven by the freight train of events. Because I know we All Live Here in Eternity Together Right Now.
Our culture has been sadly ignorant of the nature of life and our place in it. It’s quite simple. We exist only Now. We imagine past and future events unendingly, but Life, and hence we, exist only Now.
How could such a thing be? The answer is understanding what is occurring so that this experience of life is happening. And again the answer is quite simple, if foreign to the World4 culture.
The answer is that this tiny point in time where Life happens, Now, is the intermingling of two elemental forces: Eternal Awareness and Infinite Energy.
Infinite Energy needs no introduction. It’s force affecting our lives is clear. Yet indeed it clearly only happens now. How’s your internet yesterday. Oh, you were great before the fall? Now is everything. Now is all in time. This is where we are and remain for all eternity.
Which brings us to the eternal awareness side of this. The yin to energy’s yang. It’s easily clear that we live Here in Eternity. Nearly seventy years old, I’m still the little Jimmy at my core. We have memory. Life has an eternal memory. Eternal Awareness requires it, and far more.
The totality of now is far more obvious if we think in terms of a sporting event. No going back or forward in time. The presentness of sports is part of their appeal. How about when your electric or internet are out? When does that happen?
Our connection, better yet our communion is a necessary aspect of our existence. We share Life. We are all here together in the only place in time that exists. Period. Full stop. So I suggest you get all that other bullshit out the way.
Knowing this, awakening to this, having narrowed the playing field tremendously, how you gonna play it now? How do you intend to focus your intent? Do you appreciate the powerful difference of choosing love over fear?
Because as the reality of our shared existence sinks in, into our bones, and we let go the dramas and fears that overtake so many of us, we let go. We say goodbye to all that fearful and ugly – knowing we are together, and eternally so. There is no fear. We need do nothing.
So welcome to Now. There is nothing to fear, and so much to love. Bear in mind, only love makes us happy.
