Ethical Algorithms

Ethics in Algorithms: Why They Matter Now More Than Ever

Algorithms are now embedded in the fabric of society, powering everything from healthcare diagnostics and financial decisions to social media feeds and criminal justice assessments. As their influence grows, so does the urgency to ensure these systems operate ethically, transparently, and fairly.

The Expanding Reach of Algorithms

Algorithms increasingly make or influence decisions for and about people—often without their knowledge or understanding. This opacity raises the stakes: algorithmic choices can shape lives, reinforce or mitigate inequalities, and even sway democratic processes. In 2025, the demand for ethical assurance and transparency has never been higher, as consumers and citizens become more aware of the profound impact these systems have on their daily lives.

Key Ethical Concerns

• Bias and Discrimination: Algorithms can perpetuate or amplify biases present in their training data, leading to unfair outcomes in areas like hiring, lending, and law enforcement. Without regular audits and diverse development teams, these biases may go unnoticed and unaddressed, disproportionately affecting marginalized groups.

• Transparency and Explainability: Many algorithms, especially those based on deep learning, function as “black boxes,” making decisions that are difficult for even their creators to explain. This lack of transparency erodes trust and makes it hard to contest or correct errors, particularly in high-stakes domains.

• Privacy and Data Security: Algorithms often rely on vast amounts of personal data, raising concerns about consent, misuse, and exposure of sensitive information. Techniques like differential privacy and federated learning are being adopted to mitigate these risks, but challenges remain.

• Accountability: When algorithms malfunction or cause harm, it is often unclear who is responsible—the developer, the deploying organization, or the algorithm itself. This ambiguity complicates legal and ethical recourse, especially as systems become more autonomous.

Why Ethics Are Essential Now

• Loss of Public Trust: Recent surveys show declining trust in AI and algorithmic systems, with only a quarter of Americans expressing confidence in conversational AI as of 2024. High-profile failures, such as biased hiring tools or AI-generated misinformation, have highlighted the real-world consequences of neglecting ethics.

• Societal Impact: Algorithms shape access to resources, opportunities, and justice. Unethical systems can reinforce existing inequalities or create new forms of harm, making ethical oversight not just a technical issue but a societal imperative.

• Regulatory Momentum: Governments and organizations are moving toward stricter regulation, requiring impact assessments, transparency, and fairness audits for high-risk applications. Ethical frameworks are evolving from optional guidelines to essential business practices, with significant investments directed toward responsible AI initiatives.

Building Ethical Algorithms

To address these challenges, organizations must:
• Implement transparent, “glass box” AI systems that provide clear explanations for decisions.
• Regularly audit for bias and involve diverse stakeholders in development.
• Prioritize privacy through robust data governance and privacy-preserving techniques.
• Establish clear accountability structures and intervention points for human oversight.
• Foster a culture of ethics through ongoing training and inclusive teams.

Conclusion

Ethics in algorithms are not a luxury but a necessity in 2025. As algorithms wield greater power over individual and collective destinies, embedding ethical principles—honesty, transparency, fairness, and accountability—into their design and deployment is crucial for maintaining public trust and ensuring technology serves humanity rather than undermining it.

The Declaration of World 5.0

[This declaration is the short form of the mission this book invokes. It is
available as a video on the World 5.0 site, http://world5.org.]

We, the people of Earth, in light of The Three Truths, do ordain and engender
World 5.0. These truths are first: We live in Eternal Awareness and
this constant flux of energy. We are one. Second: Here, of prime
concern is our intent: fear or Love. And third, only Love makes us
happy.

We ascribe to the principles of integrity, justice and balance in our transactions
and relationships, as the only way to ensure transparency and hence
fairness. We promote localism as the best method for augmenting
health and ecology. And we connect human rights and environmental
health, knowing that failure to protect one inevitably leads to failures
of the other.

We utterly denounce war and violence. There is no greater scourge on our
planet today than hostility, furthered by nation-states and the
military/industrial/media complex. There is no viable excuse to kill
or to invoke suffering on another. We withdraw our support from
any institutions that continue to condone war and violence.

We encourage pluralism and autonomy, where each of us is valued and
respected. The meager distinctions of gender, color, class, looks,
religion, sexual preference or wealth are of no consequence in light of
our true nature. We allow no ideology or morality to come between
us, as we are far better served by ethics. We support and revel in
our families, friends and communities, as these are the lifeblood to
happiness.

We require a transparent, global financial system for any and all currencies
based on a universal, InterWeb-based standard, bringing light to
fraudulent trading schemes. This model decentralizes power and
fosters honest trade, allowing for far greater freedom in how we
design and live our lives.

We engage in the exchange of goodwill, of ideas and of goods and services.
We create, design and build our systems and infrastructure based
on sustainability, ecology and a resource-based economy. Clean air
and water, access to food, healthcare, energy and information are all
inalienable human rights.

Already we embark on the redesign of our culture, just as already we embark
on finding our true selves. The signs of healing and remaking are
everywhere, and the unholy din of the old culture draws thin. Within
World5, we leverage our connection to All and each other to remake
our world

Of prime concern is restoring ecology to our Earth. Sustainable, organic
food production is required, as is renewable energy production.
Ancient forests must be preserved. Cradle to cradle is the only viable
model for the production of goods, and localism provides the key to
minimizing our consumption, while maximizing our health.

Here in the United States, we look to The Declaration of Independence and
Article 5 of the U.S. Constitution to initiate a new constitutional
assembly. The three-headed monster of corporatism, militarism and
elitism has no place within World5. With the help of The InterWeb,
we intend a document that simplifies the law, restores justice and
balance, and honors Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Further, we intend a Constitution of the Earth in an effort to mitigate climate
change and to restore stability and health to our planet. Research,
advisory and governing councils, working together, can provide the
wisdom and will for this effort. The Earth is a living breathing body
and our only home.

Finally, we Now initiate the Federation for Peace. This Federation belongs to
those of us who take the Oath of Peace. We renounce the ideologies
of hate and terror, and align ourselves with the Peace of Eternal
Awareness, to create Peace on Earth. As the InterWeb is the mind of
World5, The Federation for Peace is the heart.

This we declare: We Love; We Live in Peace; We Move from Here; Welcome
to World 5.0.

Welcome to Eternity

Our lives have not been easy. Life on Planet Earth has not been easy for a long time, maybe ever. Being biological, as we are, and at least self aware enough to recognize this truth, we are humans.

A great reason Life on Planet Earth has not been easy for us is the rise of nation-states and the Corporation, both generated by unholy humans in their quest for power and control. Our borders are considered sacred by most tribes, even though most were generated by the British Empire before it was usurped by the United States Empire.

And yet there is one simple truth that has held since the beginning of time. And this truth is that we are eternal, living in eternity. It can be no other way.

Of course our biology will fail, it’s how biology works. Birth, growth, adulthood, aging and death. We know the pattern. What we do not recognize is that even Now, as always, we are living in eternity.

My sense is that our spirits choose this earthly existence because of the inevitable challenges of biological life. And the corresponding opportunities for vast growth. Angels and other non-physical types know eternity. They live it without the distractions of survival.

Those we know who have passed on are still with us. Many of us sense their presence even with their lack of physical form. Those yet to be born are with us as well, waiting for their turn on this earthly turning.

Here’s the simple truth. We are always living in eternity. It is our home. And yet we are even still ever moving through time, another inevitability. How can this be?

It is so because Now, this tiny point in time where the future becomes the past, is where we can find and recognize our eternal nature. And indeed, this Now we are ever sharing is always shuttling us through time. Eternal Awareness and Infinite Energy, co-mingling only Here in this place in time. We are Life, two elementals with opposite characteristics. Quite bizarre, and yet clearly true.

It is a great failure of the current state of science that ‘The Totality of Now’ is not the central declared truth of science. From the simplest two-slit experiments to hadron colliders, the Nowness of the experiment/experience is clear.

This is the truth of sport as well. It is this movement through time, we can never go back, that makes sports so captivating. So too are live performances captivating. The play, the live music, the acrobat, all capture our attention because of the fleeting nature of time. Failures and triumphs. And yet we are always Here, living in Eternity.

Of course, the recognition of this simple truth does not serve those few who control our corrupt and broken culture. We have been abused, traumatized and confused to the point where even this most simple of ideas seems foreign. It is not. This Life we are sharing is all there is. Life, and we, exist only Now.

So, as it is. We are all together for a very long time. Best we not forget this, the struggles of biological lie within a broken culture not withstanding. It may well be that these dangerous and auspicious times are designed to bring the truth of our Eternal Home Here in Life to the culture at large. One can hope.

Only the richest ancient Athenians paid taxes – and they bragged about it

In ancient Athens, only the very wealthiest people paid direct taxes, and these went to fund the city-state’s most important national expenses – the navy and honors for the gods. While today it might sound astonishing, most of these top taxpayers not only paid happily, but boasted about how much they paid.

Money was just as important to the ancient Athenians as it is to most people today, so what accounts for this enthusiastic reaction to a large tax bill? The Athenian financial elite felt this way because they earned an invaluable payback: public respect from the other citizens of their democracy.

Modern needs, modern finances

Athens in the fifth and fourth centuries B.C. had a population of free and enslaved people topping 300,000 individuals. The economy mostly focused on international trade, and Athens needed to spend large sums of money to keep things humming – from supporting national defense to the countless public fountains constantly pouring out drinking water all over the city.

Much of this income came from publicly owned farmland and silver mines that were leased to the highest bidders, but Athens also taxed imports and exports and collected fees from immigrants and prostitutes as well as fines imposed on losers in many court cases. In general, there were no direct taxes on income or wealth.

As Athens grew into an international power, it developed a large and expensive navy of several hundred state-of-the-art wooden warships called triremes – literally meaning three-rowers. Triremes cost huge amounts of money to build, equip and crew, and the Athenian financial elites were the ones that paid to make it happen.

The top 1% of male property owners supported the saving or salvation of Athens –called “soteria” – by performing a special kind of public service called “leitourgia,” or liturgy. They served as a trireme commander, or “trierarch,” who personally funded the operating costs of a trireme for an entire year and even led the crew on missions. This public service was not cheap. To fund their liturgy as a trierarch, a rich taxpayer spent what a skilled worker earned in 10 to 20 years of steady pay, but instead of dodging this responsibility, most embraced it.

Running warships was not the only responsibility the rich had to national defense. When Athens was at war – which was most of the time – the wealthy had to pay contributions in cash called “eisphorai” to finance the citizen militia. These contributions were based on the value of their property, not their income, which made them in a sense a direct tax on wealth.

To please the gods

To the ancient Athenians, physical military might was only part of the equation. They also believed that the salvation of the state from outside threats depended on a less tangible but equally crucial and costly source of defense: the favor of the gods.

To keep these powerful but fickle divine protectors on their side, the Athenians built elaborate temples, performed large sacrifices and organized lively public religious festivals. These massive spectacles featured musical extravaganzas and theater performances that were attended by tens of thousands of people and were hugely expensive to throw.

Just as with trieremes, the richest Athenians paid for these festivals by fulfilling festival liturgies. Serving as a chorus leader, for example, meant paying for the training, costumes and living expenses for large groups of performers for months at a time.

Proud to be paying

In the U.S. today, an estimated one out of every six tax dollars is unpaid. Large corporations and rich citizens do everything they can to minimize their tax bill. The Athenians would have ridiculed such behavior.

None of the financial elite of ancient Athens prided themselves on scamming the Athenian equivalent of the IRS. Just the opposite was true: They paid, and even boasted in public – truthfully – that they often had paid more than required when serving as a trierarch or chorus leader.

Of course, not every member of the superrich at Athens behaved like a patriotic champion. Some Athenian shirkers tried to escape their liturgies by claiming other people with more property ought to shoulder the cost instead of themselves, but this attempted weaseling out of public service never became the norm.

[The Conversation’s science, health and technology editors pick their favorite stories. Weekly on Wednesdays.]

So what was the reasoning behind this civic, taxpaying pride? Ancient Athenians weren’t only opening their wallets to promote the common good. They were counting on earning a high return in public esteem from the investments in their community that their taxes represented.

This social capital was so valuable because Athenian culture held civic duty in high regard. If a rich Athenian hoarded his wealth, he was mocked and labeled a “greedy man” who “borrows from guests staying his house” and “when he sells wine to a friend, he sells it watered!”

Social wealth, not monetary riches

The social rewards that tax payments earned the rich had long lives. A liturgist who financed the chorus of a prize-winning drama could build himself a spectacular monument in a conspicuous downtown location to announce his excellence to all comers for all time.

Above all, the Athenian rich paid their taxes because they craved the social success that came from their compatriots publicly identifying them as citizens who are good because they are useful. Earning the honorable title of a useful citizen might sound tame today, but in a letter to a Hebrew congregation in Rhode Island written in 1790, George Washington proclaimed that being “useful” was an invaluable part of the divine plan for the United States.

So, too, the Athenians infused that designation with immense power. To be a rich taxpayer who was good and useful to his fellow citizens counted even more than money in the bank. And this invaluable public service profited all Athenians by keeping their democracy alive century after century.

What The Wheel Of Time Gets Right

The Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy novel series that spans 14 meaty books. The author, Robert Jordan, passed after book 11, and the last three were completed by Brandon Sorenson from the original author’s notes.

There are any number of remarkable aspects to this series, far more than its length. For starters, women are central to many narratives as they can wield the One Power, a Jedi like superpower known as weaving. The richness of the many communities and narratives that are encountered along with the array of evil characters provides plenty of entertainment and maybe more.

Which leads me to the title of this piece. The stirring, enthralling truth that is an open secret in this great story is the recognition of our eternity. We are literally riding on the wheel of time, all the while here in eternity.

For anyone paying attention, the totality of Now is clearly the central fact of existence, biological or otherwise. There is no other moment in time that exists. Even when we’re buried in past thoughts or considering some future outcome, we do it from here. We always move from Here.

The reason is that only in this point in time do Eternal Awareness and Infinite Energy co-mingle. This is the only place in time where Life exists, which means all that is exists only Now. As biological creatures, this is even more glaringly true. When do we breathe? When is our heart beating?

Our corrupt culture is so out of whack that even such a simple truth has been lost to us. Yet in The Wheel of Time, this truth is clear and understood throughout. And such clarity resonates with us, even if we don’t yet get the totality of Now.

There are plenty of passages that make this stance abundantly clear. Rand asks his dad Tam ‘how long before The Wheel throws you back out again’. Or Egwene threatening a whitecloak tormentor with ‘when I come back around’.

Imagine how different our culture would be if we held this awareness throughout. If it was universally recognized that now is the only point in time that exists, and hence we are all here together sharing this. Subtle but profound differences, and maybe not so subtle.

Far and away the great difference I see is the release from so much of our fear. There is a great mantle of fear that envelops our world, sadly by design. The terrified are much more likely to accept a bad situation and far less likely to actively seek to create a healthier planet. Fear tends to discourage things like protests, strikes and even community building. We’re more likely to try and ‘protect ourselves’. And so we’re enslaved by our anxious mind.

If we clearly recognize our eternity, what is there to fear? Death is seen for what it is, the end of a biological cycle. Indeed, death has been the end of all biological entities, at least as far as we know. Just another sleep cycle as the next cosmic adventure awaits us.

Another effect is that the idea of ‘strangers’ loses its power. We are very tribal here on Planet Earth, with visceral reactions to people who look differently to us. Of course, much of that ingraining has been fostered upon us by those same entities that have been controlling us for hundreds of years. The world’s super elite want us divided and afraid. We see this programming today through the white supremacy memes in the US and elsewhere.

One more thing the recognition of our place in eternity brings. Perspective. We let ourselves see the world much more widely, with much less emphasis on our personal, momentary experiences. We recognize the whole egocentric view of the world is false, and any fame or fortune is fleeting. We see much clearer value to relationship, and much less of a need to acquire money and its attendant power. We undermine the whole false, money-based culture we grew up in.

There are many more characteristics and changes that might result from this recognition of our eternity. That this simple truth is at the center of our biological experience is why we find it so stirring in this fabulous adventure, now being released via Amazon Prime tv. The first season wrapped up on Christmas Eve and is available for streaming. The second season release date has yet to be revealed. It has been renewed for a third season with the hope to complete the journey in 8 seasons.

The Frame of Our Existence

Life is the result of two elemental forces, awareness and energy. Awareness is eternal and still, requiring nothing. It is the void; endless and dark. Energy is motion. It is incapable of stillness. The co-mingling of these two opposite forces happens at only one point in time. Now. No other time exists. This is the Great Tao. This is the first truth. Learning this is our most needed lesson in this dark time.

There is great confusion among we humans on the nature of reality. This is not surprising, since The Great Evil* doesn’t want us to understand such simple things. They would rather convince us of the all consuming nature of consumption, and keep reminding us that our intrinsic value to life on Earth comes from consuming. This means both the consumer mentality where ‘baby needs a new pair of shoes’ and more critically the consumption of bullshit narratives that have driven our culture for hundreds of years. Yuck.

There are a host of places to look if you with to explore our history from this perspective. Check out the Rothchilds family efforts with the Bank of England at the end of the Napoleonic Wars or the Vanderbilts, Carnegies and Morgans in the late 1800s. A long history of lies, cheating and exploitation. Now we can add the Bezos, Gates, Zuckerbergs and Musks to their ranks.

So I move now to the truth, the answer to the nature of reality.

What we call Life is happening only now. This point in time is all that exists. The future is gone and tomorrow never comes. The reason for this is that Life consists of two elementals – Eternal Awareness, pure stillness and Infinite Energy, pure vibration.

If we did not have Eternal Awareness, there would be no memory. No recognition of what’s come before and what we may behold in the future. We know intuitively that we are the same person we’ve been ever since we found a sense of self in these bodies. We are Eternal. This innate truth has been stolen from us.

And yet the onslaught of events is ever clear. Time does not stand still. That’s the job of Eternal Awareness. Energy creates our experience of change. And it never stops.

Life is these two elementals coexisting which necessarily happens only Now. This is the only point in time where these incomprehensible two opposite forces co-mingle. The totality of Now is the great recognition our culture lacks, much to our peril.

Sports, the great pastime these days, makes the totality of Now quite clear. No one doubts the totality of now during a crucial play, when the ball is in the air. And yet after the game we’re again caught up in a mind full of what ifs and what was and will tomorrow be alright and a whole bunch of bullshit. And we feel like it’s real in our heads, and that these thoughts supersede our reality, the Totality of Now. Silly humans.

Galaxies and animal friends are aware of of this Life we share, even without the thoughts so prevalent in we humans. The birds, trees and even the sky above all know. Words are not required to experience Now. Indeed, they get in the way.

So why is such a glaring and obvious truth so seemingly strange? It’s our broken culture, designed and implemented over a thousand years so that The Great Evil can maintain its power and its structures of control.

If Now is all that exists, we are all necessarily All Here Together, and this is and must be the case Now and throughout our eternity. Life requires that we are eternal as well. These bodies? Of course not. Yet those beyond the veil are no less real that you and I. They are just far less physical.

And yet as close as we culturally get to recognizing our eternity is in some religious or spiritual creed, which might mean a future heaven or hell or something. This is just confusion.

I could go on and on, but in point of truth I’m trying to use words to describe what words cannot know. Perhaps most importantly, Life is this Presence, a sort of soup of Energy and Awareness that is always stirring and always still. Life is enchanting, epic, the ultimate truth, always here as our life line. And again, the only reason this is not obvious is because of our confusion and fear, so ingrained in this broken culture.

So, the chains of fear must be let go. Fear always points to a particular, yet it is fear itself that we must let go to experience our new eternal world. Our truth of Life Here Together.

Of course, clearly we are biological. Biological life is clearly a subset of All That Is, yet it is chained to this moment just as all life is. And the great requirement of biological life is water.

Indeed, on the edge of science are those who see connection between water and consciousness. (Adherents to a mechanical universe do not see such truths.) Based on life here on Earth, water does fit as the essential element for biological life.

The magical nature of water is of course neglected in our broken culture as well, which only cares if it can be bought and sold. When we finally emerge from this war-torn, extractive, pollutive and insane culture, we will see water for the sacred life-enabling agent that it is.

This is World 5.0. The truth of our reality and our existence. Life is Now and we are all participants. All the pain, all the lies, all the false narratives need hold no longer. We are all Here right Now sharing Life. This is good.

Welcome to the emerging future and the receding past. Welcome to World 5.0.

This Central Truth of Life

When one considers the wretched condition of our lives and our planet, it’s hard not to point fingers, as I have surely done, at the forces I believe to be responsible. That blame typically goes toward elites, corporations and nation states. I still hold that these purveyors of power through their money and institutions are indeed, at the heart of our problems.

Yet there is something even more central to each of us that has held us bound and manipulated by the forces mentioned above. It’s the paradigm each of us live within. The way we view ourselves and our place within ourselves, our families and communities. This includes the impact of height or skin color, social status, genetics and upbringing – externals but part of us, and our thoughts, feelings, attitudes and belief codes – our internal world.

Each of us engaging with our own lives. And in the old culture, it pretty much ends there. Ignoring the central fact of our existence. The totality of Now.

Somehow science has neglected this, as a fish might neglect water, or we neglect ‘Mother Culture’. Where is the clear axiom in science that Now is the only time that exists – this sharpness where past and future collide, this point in time where everything happens.

It is useful to our Corporate Overlords that we consider ourselves alone, weak and powerless in the face of their excess. Indeed, they rely on our ignorance to further their agenda of control and domination, even to the point of destroying our Earth.

Is there any way an awake and aware citizenry would allow our endless wars, our GMO and sucky processed foods, the environmental desecration and destruction, climate chaos, extreme inequality, cruelty to the animals we use as food, abuse of Palestinians or Haitians, and on and on? Of course not. An awake and aware culture wouldn’t tolerate any of this bullshit – which proves we have a lot of work to do.

Yet it all starts – resets – when we awaken to ourselves Here in Life right now. This knowing clearly presents a second knowing – that we are necessarily all Here together. We cannot leave this moment of Life or each other. Sadly, the old culture keeps insisting on a paradigm that is far less real.

‘We Move From Here’, the subtitle to my book World 5.0, is intended to help furthering our awakening to this simple truth. You can’t find ‘Here’ by further thinking. The process of thinking tends to have us stuck in our heads and out of touch with our bodies and our surroundings.

We get it by being outside, by observing and interacting with our animal friends. We get it though a quiet mind which is a result from practicing meditation. We even ‘get it’ momentarily when caught in the high drama of a sporting event or film. We stop thinking and become present. Which is exactly where we are. This recognition moves us and our sisters and brothers further into an awakened state, something we badly need right now as the old world crumbles around us.

Life Is Our Meaning

And is not often found in words…

Where Do We Go From Here

After nearly two years of Trump, decades of war, corporations more powerful and insulated than ever, and our federal government a travesty. Where do we go from here? Recognize too that we have been beaten down and misled for hundreds, if not a thousand years. Elite use of the legal entity called ‘The Corporation’ has decimated our lives and planet.

We must create a culture of truth, and of first principles. Truth in recognizing that we all share Life right now, and no other time exists. Contrary to our conditioning, we are All Here Together forever. First principles are what we already know. We begin with integrity, because without integrity we do not have trust, and without trust we devolve into a culture like the one we live in Now. And this broke down shit must change.

The chief weapon used against us in our quest for truth and understanding is fear. It is fear that drove the bomb maker and the Jew killer last week. It is fear (and Trump’s delusional offer to relieve your fear), that presents him with his ‘supporters’. As Chris Hedges notes, these are cult followers.

We can’t fix them. At least not yet. Fighting them but infuriates them further. We’ll get to healing their trauma and teaching them a better way. But we must first do this for ourselves.

We may have little control over the world we find ourselves in, but we have control over our thoughts and feelings. We elect how we play this moment with our thoughts and feelings and belief systems. The belief codes that drive our behaviors. We can look more deeply inside ourselves to rid ourselves of the ugly monster of fear. The remedy is the peace and love inherent Here in Life.

You’ll have to understand our new operating system, World 5.0, if these words do not make sense. Because ‘we go from here’ is exactly this new construct. An idea whose time has clearly come. And again, check out World 5.0 if all this seems unclear.

We are in an unprecedented time in our history. The thousand years of elite rule through the legal entity of ‘the corporation’ is coming to an end. Our eyes are finally opening to the truth of our old civilization, and it will not stand much longer. It’s utterly unfair, ecologically devastating, violent and utterly corrupt. The profit motive is not a good foundation for culture. Life is.

In World 5.0 we find peace and love, based on Life itself. We demand integrity in our systems and encourage it in our people. We even now are coagulating into a New Age.

In World 5.0 we restore natural systems, ecologies, like never before. We enliven the already evident movement toward localism and organic food. Renewable energy, rooftop wind and solar, so much we can transform.

We can put an end to war, and the fucking permanent war paradigm. This sick perversion of inventing and antagonizing different tribes, ‘enemies’, and then blowing the shit out of them out of pure greed, must end. It’s our top priority here in World5.

So ‘where do we go from here’ is together. This together we share in time has to translate to together in remaking our culture. From one of war to peace. From one of scarcity to abundance. From greed to consideration. From fear to love.

The pace of this transformation is not our concern. Life handles such things. Our concern is awakening to our sisters and brothers, to our intent and to Life itself. To find ourselves in integrity, peace and love.

The Battle Within and the Best Way Forward

The stunning reality of President Trump has amplified the fear of millions and not without reason. With his ‘victory’, and his emerging choices for key posts showing a Basket of Deplorables, we may well find ourselves in a deplorable state as well.

The long list of issues leading us down this path are now clear, and it’s the hands behind our mega corporations and long standing bankers like the Rothchilds that are intentionally destroying us and our home planet for power and control. They’re sick in the head.

The central strategy for their success is to keep us terrified, bewildered and distracted. Their central tool in that strategy is fear. Full stop. Their central tool is fear

Fear is the compassion killer, the awareness killer, and the killer of our happiness. Where there is fear, love cannot enter. Any more than reason can enter the realm of insanity. Indeed, when we seek to know what keeps us from being happy more than anything else, it is fear.

Of course I don’t mean the thrill seeking, momentary fears of looking over a steep cliff or of losing a game. I mean the deep seated, constant, trauma and stress driven fear that quite literally owns us.

Such is the battle within, amplified mightily be a failing world. And yet the answer remains the same as it ever was. The answer is Love.

Just as love cannot abide a space filled with fear, fear cannot abide the presence of Love. Learning to be with this Presence of Love within us teaches us peace and love, which are but two sides of the same Tao.

Many of us know this dynamic, but have had little success in ridding ourselves of fear. This is because we still hold the old culture view that we are isolated individuals living in our past and future, with occasional moments here in the present. We live in a bubble, and yet it is a bubble we do not see.

The truth is that, while we all have our uniqueness in place, we all share the same time. And that this time is Now. Quite simply, we are all here together. Always Here. This simple truth gives us ground to stand on as we wage our battles against fear.

Which focuses things quite a bit. The question is now, not whether we will choose fear or love in the future, the question is ‘what do we choose now’. Because of course Now is the only place in time where our intent is exercised, and where we can impact our thoughts, feelings and most importantly our belief codes.

So, with the intent to spend This in Love instead of fear, a few simple strategies are in order.

First, recognize fear for what it is and what it does. You will not dismiss your fears easily, yet steady emphasis with the consistent choice to let go of fearful thoughts and engage in loving thoughts. If this seems impossible to you, know that the keys are forgiveness and gratitude. These are two of the best words that resonate Love.

Our intent then, is thoughts and feelings of love and compassion. Your belief codes will drive your ability to find success in this, so they are where you look when you’re struggling to find happy thoughts and feelings.

The second step is to seek a quiet mind. We’re always a step behind Now when we’re thinking, regardless of the quality of our thoughts. The very process of thinking engages our attention, or intent, so that our experience of Life is second hand. With a quiet mind we enjoy the Presence of our Source, Life, and the other biological and non-biological beings we share this Timeless Moment with.

Finally, breathe like it’s the best thing in your life, because it surely is. Not only does it keep us alive through the constant recharge of our cells, it focuses our intent on the present, connects us with our body, and brings feelings of calm and joy.

Because we are so under-oxygenated in our typical day to day existence, we rarely take the time to focus on what we need most – to breathe.

So, now that we understand the battle, and the strategy to ‘win’, what about our failing world?

Our stumbling science is beginning to recognize the essential nature of energy and vibration. It even presumes the totality of Now, though it’s more implied than stated as the central fact of our existence.

The wiser among us even understand, as did physicist Max Planck, that ““When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”  Our thoughts, emotions and belief codes are susceptible to change, and when we change them, our world changes to reflect these changes.

With such a given, what are the energy vibrations that best suit us in these foreboding times? Of course, same as it ever was, Love is the answer. Holding the space of peace. Sending forth the vibration of Love, always and toward everyone and everything – this is our best answer to a failing world.

Do not forget that we have been abused and lied to for generations. Do not forget current efforts to abuse us further. And most of all, do not forget that this incredible experience of Life we share, as breathing humans Here on Earth, is far more powerful than the haters that rule us.

No question we need to resist the machinations of a failing empire, the now ugly US of A. No doubt we must engage with our communities and replace corporatism. But the biggest single thing we can do, for ourselves, our sisters and brothers, and our Earth, is to Love.
